I just got my edited manuscript back, now what?

Looking at your edited manuscript can be a bit overwhelming at first. Words are crossed out, there are whole sentences that are red and underlined, some phrases are highlighted—it’s all very confusing. This guide will explain what all that means and how to go about reviewing your manuscript before sending it back to your editor.

I’m so tired of seeing red lines under the names and fantasy words in my novel.

Spell check can be great and can save you from many an embarrassing typo. But it can also be really annoying when you’re writing a fantasy novel (or anything where you’ve made up your own words or have names that Word’s dictionary doesn’t recognize). This guide will walk you through creating custom dictionaries for each of your novels.

How do i create a table of contents and make sure my chapter titles look the same?

Making formatting changes in a 70,000 word manuscript can be difficult and tedious. Maybe you want to make sure all the chapter titles look the same without going through one by one each time you want to change something. Or maybe you want to quickly jump around to different parts of your book. Microsoft Word has an awesome tool for that! This guide will walk you through using Word’s Styles feature.
